art star

this past saturday eris and i introduced our newest girlfriend to the world of craft. we spent a gorgeous afternoon at philadelphia’s penn’s landing where the art star craft bazaar proved once again to be a success! with over 140 creative vendors, we were a little caught up in the merchandise to pay much attention to the camera. the inspiration was over flowing and certainly got our own creative juices flowing for our upcoming shop opening. we made a few purchases and took note of our favorites…

document this

i’ve got a few ocd-isms. (don’t we all?!) my most dangerous…the obsession to document the day to day. i’ve instilled the fear that i’m going to forget and adding a tiny human to my life has only heightened the issue. time is flying, and as much as i want to capture and hold onto it all, i need to live in the moment and enjoy today no matter what i may or may not remember tomorrow. it’s asking too much to not document the daily, however i’m making it a goal to obsess more about the present. this is my warning to you. i’m about to get more personal. this being a blog and all, a place to look back on…what did you expect?

38 weeks

since paul and i usually end up throwing a tantrum at the fence each week, i called in an old friend to take some professional belly shots. adrienne came prepared as she knows how awkward i feel in front of the camera.  she threw on a goofy face, loosened us up and captured some great images. i’m glad we’ll have these forever to look back on. for more, check out the work of arte vitae here and here.

34 weeks

i started off the week feeling hot as a 34 week pregnant chick…ending the week, not so much so. this rapidly growing appendage is starting to get the best of me. in other words, i’m quickly losing my cool. when the  anxiety’s heavy i wish i could rip this belly off and jump around like my old self. unfortunately that’s probably not an option. and what’s up with all the head colds?! it’s like they’re going out of style! i’m ready to meet this miniature lady already. although maybe she could just magically appear, cause after last weeks 7 hour birth prep class, i’m petrified of whats to come. eh, enough whining. until i’m feeling better, i’m out. have a happy weekend!

love all around

a gigantic thank you to eris, jess and my little sis christine for throwing paul and i the most perfect baby shower this past weekend. the three of you thought of absolutely everything and made it evident your hearts are full of love for the two of us and little e on the way;) we’re super lucky to have you in our lives! i’ll leave details on all the crafty elements up to the ladies, as they went entirely all out. although i will brag that they rocked it! to my girlies and the rest of our family and friends who helped plan and celebrate, we can’t thank you enough for your generosity! xoxo, k+p

27 weeks

twentyseven weeks marks the beginning of my third trimester. current stats: plus ten pounds and nine inches, belly buttons out, hairs growing like a weed, no marks yet, baby girl’s wiggling all about and giving my ribs a good jostling, i’ll never be able to buy glad odor shield trash bags or walk past au bon pain the same again, nursery’s a work in progress, classes are scheduled and the anxiety that this is really happening is starting to set in (cause you really wanted to know all that)! i have a feeling this miniature is gonna be here before we know it.

snap on it

there’s something about capturing the day-to-day that puts a smile on my face when looking back on the past year. inspired by various iterations of project 365, i ambitiously set out to snap at least once a day with hopes of collaging an entire year. half way through, a certain little bump in the road brought my project to a halt. this year, i’m on it! i’m joining my virtual friends and taking part in the PHOTO A DAY CHALLENGE #janphotoaday via instagram. bring it, 2012!

23 weeks

we’ve only just begun and we’re already adding to our clan with a miniature girlie on the way. 23 weeks in and highly anticipated. there’s no telling where this little lady will fit in seeing as mama’s got black locks as opposed to dad’s dirty blonde. up next, a nursery to design..!
